President & CEO - E-Comm 9-1-1 VISIONARY LEADERSHIP FOR AN INTERNATIONAL LEADER IN PUBLIC SAFETY Emergency Communications for Southwestern BC (E-Comm 911) was established in 1998 with the mandate to provide a seamless integrated communications system, covering police, fire, ambulance and other emergency services. Owned by its members, E-Comm is a pioneer in strengthening and advancing public safety through integrated and state-of-the-art emergency communication systems. Considered a leader nationally, it employs 380 staff and has an annual operating budget of $51 million. Reporting to the Board of Directors, and working closely with emergency service providers, this role will provide strategic leadership and operational strength toward enhancing the organization’s ability to grow the business, maintain operational excellence and provide public safety leadership to the 21 municipalities in the region. Key in realizing these goals will be developing effective relationships with member agencies, forging new strategic partnerships, protecting and enhancing a positive working environment characterized by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and providing a high level of customer service. The new President & CEO will bring demonstrated success in leading an organization or complex division through growth and transformation. This executive level experience could come from either the private or public sector, and ideally consists of P&L responsibility, exposure to a Board of Directors, and leadership within an organization with a technology backbone or emergency management focus. Regardless of background, he or she has achieved results through a high degree of political sensitivity, exceptional relationship building skills and a solid record of operational excellence.
